• Interfere with the site, its security, or other visitors.
• Copy, scrape, or republish its content in bulk, or use it to build a competing product or dataset, without our written permission.
• Sign someone else up for our emails without their permission.

The articles, research summaries, data visualizations, video, images, frameworks, and design on this site belong to The Nonverbal Group or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. “The Nonverbal Group”, “The Social Edge”, “The Behavioralist”, and our logos are our trademarks.

You are welcome to share links to our pages and to quote short excerpts with credit and a link back. Anything beyond that needs our written permission.

03Information, not professional advice

Our content is for education and general information. It is not psychological, medical, legal, or professional advice, and reading it does not create a client relationship with us. Behavior is complex, and no single cue proves what someone is thinking or feeling. Use your own judgment, and consult a qualified professional for decisions that matter.

04Newsletter and waitlists

The Behavioralist and our course waitlists are free. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We may change, pause, or end any free offering at any time. How we handle your email is covered in our Privacy Policy.

05Courses and client work

Paid courses, including The Social Edge, are sold and delivered under the terms on the site where you buy them. Workshops, training, consulting, and custom engagements are governed by the proposal or agreement we sign with you. If those terms conflict with these, those terms win.

06Links to other sites

We link to sites we do not control, such as YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and our booking form provider. We are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.

07Disclaimer

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors.

08Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, The Nonverbal Group will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of this site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

09Indemnity

If you misuse the site or break these terms and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, including legal fees.

10Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we both consent to those courts.

11Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

12General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term right away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using this site.
