who are you?

My name is Blake Eastman

In 2009, I started The Nonverbal Group, a behavioral research, and education company that does large scale studies on human behavior. I am also a former adjunct psychology professor and professional poker player. Over the past 10 years, I have done things like:

  • Conduct the largest behavioral study ever conducted on poker players. A project called Beyond Tells that included manually coding over 550,000 blinks.

  • Recorded, deconstructed, and reconstructed the facial expressions of executives from some of the biggest companies in the world.

  • Taught Group Dynamics and Developmental Psychology at the City University of New York for 6 years.

  • Led courses to members of the Army, Navy, FBI Counterterrorism and DEA.

  • Set up studies recording people during first dates and interviews.

  • Conducted hundreds of speeches and workshops on a wide range of topics (Sales, Presentations, Deception Detection, Leadership, etc.) around the world and in our offices in New York City.

  • Pioneered methods for tagging, recording and analyzing human behavior.
