Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information The Nonverbal Group (“we”, “us”) collects when you use nonverbalgroup.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: we collect your email only if you give it to us, we use it only for what you signed up for, and we do not track you around the web.
01What we collect
We collect very little, and only what you choose to give us or what any website receives to work.
- Your email address, when you join The Behavioralist newsletter or a course waitlist.
- What you send us, when you email us or fill out our booking form: usually your name, email, company, and what you would like to talk about.
- Basic technical data, which every website receives: IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested, and the time of the request. Our hosting provider keeps this in short-lived server logs for security and reliability.
We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we do not buy or sell personal information.
02How we use it
- To send the newsletter or waitlist updates you signed up for.
- To reply to your messages and schedule calls you request.
- To keep the site secure, available, and working properly.
- To meet legal obligations.
03Cookies
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Our hosting and email providers may set strictly necessary cookies or similar technology to deliver pages, prevent abuse, and protect signup forms from bots. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
04Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run parts of the site for us:
- Kit (kit.com), which stores newsletter and waitlist subscribers and sends our emails.
- Typeform (typeform.com), which handles our booking form.
- Vercel (vercel.com), which hosts the site.
- Google Workspace, which hosts our email.
These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
05Emails and unsubscribing
Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it at any time, or email us and we will remove you.
06How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you stay subscribed or on a waitlist, and correspondence for as long as it is useful for the conversation or required by law. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. When information is no longer needed, we delete it.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live, including the EU, the UK, and US states such as California, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct it or have it deleted.
- Object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent.
- Receive a copy of it in a portable format.
Email contact@nonverbalgroup.com and we will respond within 30 days. We will never treat you differently for exercising these rights. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
08Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and we limit access to personal information to the people and providers who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.
09International transfers
We are based in the United States, and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires it, those transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10Children
This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11Other sites
We link to other sites, including The Social Edge (the-social-edge.com), YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them. Course purchases on The Social Edge are covered by that site’s terms and privacy policy.
12Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on the site or by email.
